FAQ – Scary Haunted Attraction


Q. I bought a GroupOn and it states that I need a reservation.  How do I make a reservation?

A. Thank you for your purchase!  Please book under our ticketing page, click the date, and then groupon reservation. Please be sure to bring your Groupon the evening of the event. Alternatively, you can just bring your groupon to our “groupon reservation” desk the evening of the event.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Q. Is the Trail of Terror scary?
A. The Trail of Terror attraction is very entertaining, but can be quite scary…isn’t that want you want?

Q. Where is the Trail of Terror located?
A. Trail of Terror is located at Paintball Adventures: 11850 Camden Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.

Q. When is the Trail of Terror open?

A.  All our open dates and times are available on the Schedule Page located at the top of each webpage.

October 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th, 19nd, 20th, 26th, 27th, 31st 7p.m. – 11p.m.

October 18th, 25th, 30th – 7pm – 10pm

Gates open 1 hour prior to our first group.  First group will enter after sundown.

Q. Can I bring the whole family?
A. This event is fun for the whole family! However, children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Q. What happens if it is raining?
A. The Trail of Trail is outdoors, so it will stay open during light showers, but may need to close for safety reasons.

Q. Will the Scareactors touch us?
A. Our Scareactors are not allowed to touch you, and we ask that you also do not touch them. Keep in mind that something or someone might accidentally bump into you, but our Scareactors will NOT intentionally grab you.

Q. What is included in the admission price?
A. There are various types of admission options. Please review the tickets page to review the options.

Q. Can I purchase tickets in advance?
A. Yes, tickets are available online – buy early and avoid standing in lines at the park.

Q. What if I don’t like to stand in lines?
A. We don’t like lines either! We offer a “Skip the Line” admission option for people like us. See the tickets page for more information.

Q. Once we’ve used our ticket, are we able to go through again with the same ticket?
A. No. A new ticket is requested for each visit unless you purchase our “All You Can Scream” pass.

Q. Do you offer group discounts?
A. Yes, we have group discounts for groups of 20 or more. Group tickets can be purchased on our ticketing page.

Q. Do you offer refunds for tickets at the Trail of Terror?
A. Sorry, we do not offer refunds on tickets.

Q. Is there food and beverage available at the trail?
A. We do have a full bar, with adult beverages, sodas and water available for sale. We also have worked with local food truck vendors to have food available for purchase.

Q. Can I volunteer to be a Scareactor or help with the Trail of Terror?
A. Yes, you can. Please sign up to volunteer at http://jaxjaycees.org/event-1924740.

Q. Can I take pictures inside?
A. No – photos are not allowed. Our Scareactors eyes adjust to low light settings and the flash of camera become very sensitive to their eyes.

Q. Can I bring my cell phone?
A. Feel free to bring it, but we ask that you either turn it to vibrate or turn it off so as not to disturb other customers. Also, the lights from the phone can ruin some of our lighting effects so we ask that you do not have them out when going through the trail.

Q. Why is there a warning to people with certain ailments (pregnant women, asthmatics, epileptics, etc.) that they should take special precautions when going through the trail?
A . Although we take every precaution, strobe lights have been known to cause seizures; the use of fog machines could result in asthma attacks, and some motion may not be tolerable for those with physical limitations.

Q. Is the Trail of Terror wheelchair accessible?
A. The Trail of Terror is held in a natural, outdoor setting and has been conditioned to allow everyone access to the trail. Wheelchairs and motorized scooters are allowed. We have disabled accessible parking, and disabled accessible portable toilets. Some attractions may need assistance from a helper to go through them with a wheelchair.

Q. CAN WE BE THROWN OUT OF THE TRAIL FOR ANY REASON?
A. Yes. We do not allow foul language, pushing, vulgar behavior, weapons of any kind, alcohol, etc. We do not allow babies or children to be carried through. Smoking and alcohol is not allowed on the trail. We reserve the right to remove any patron from the event if we feel it is necessary.
Violation of these rules will usually bring a warning and then being asked to leave without a refund.

Q. What CAN’T we bring with us to your haunted attraction?
A. No pets! No weapons! No alcoholic beverages! No cameras! No laser pointers or flashlights! No food or beverages!

Q. Can my friends and I wear our Halloween costumes when we come to Trail of Terror?
A. No. For safety reasons, we are sorry to say that patrons are not permitted to wear costumes.

Q. Are Pets allowed at the Trail of Terror?
A. No, pets are not allowed even if they’re trained zombie hunters.

Q. Where is the lost and found?
A. Anything that is turned in can be found at the First Aid Station that night, otherwise call the office Monday-Friday 10am-4pm, to collect your lost items.
